OUTCOME: Settled before trial for $300,000

Mr. Popper's client was attacked by five Doberman pinchers from a neighbors property. They dragged her poodle into their yard and were tearing it apart. When plaintiff attempted to save her dog, they v ... iciously attacked. There was a very aggressive defense by the defense, including claims of trespassing. Mr. Popper had the defendants charged with the vicious dog statute and tried a municipal court case in which three of the five dogs were deemed extremely dangerous. The homeowners carrier offered a very low settlement until time of trial. After picking the jury, defendant relented, and met plaintiff’s full monetary demand.
