Awesome

This is the second time I have used Mr Davis. He impressed me so much June 2015 that I had to use him again to see if he was real. This time it was a bench trial with criminal charges, aggravated assault 3 counts. I was innocent with no priors but the evidence was stacked against me. I was looking at... doing time with these felony charges. Mr Davis was nothing short of super awesome in his aggressive approach. It was like what you would see in a movie. The bottom line was a verdict of Not Guilty. He was knowledgeable, kept me informed, very reasonable fee, and very professional. I wouldn't even think about using another attorney and I would highly recommend him and intend to do so. Thank you Steve Davis for believing in me.

Outstanding

Steven Davis gained my trust by being very professional, showed his concern for me and my case, and kept me informed of the progress. His fees were very reasonable. His research was outstanding, finding things even I wasn't aware of. He was always prompt and courteous. He gained my complete trust. I... highly recommend him.

Missed it

I hired Steven R. Davis to file a simple injunction that would protect my private property. It was a simple case of a matter of law - easements. When forced to go to court, he missed the point and lost the case. In the process, he was slow to act, did not return my phone calls, showed no initia...tive, and failed to stress the basic points of the case.

This client's neighbor had an easement through the client's property. Perhaps Heidi should have sought legal advice before she purchased land that had an easement running through it. The neighbor decided to have a street sign erected marking the easement. The neighbor was a long time resident of the community and was friends with the county judge and county road superintendent. In other words, the neighbor was politically well connected, and Heidi wasn't. The client writing this review of my services was from another State. The County Judge found the road in front of Heidi's property to be a County road, even though it was no so indicated on any survey and even though Heidi never received any notice from the County that it was seeking to make the road a County Road. I believe the judge was wrong, but he is the judge, and he gets to make those decisions. As to my supposed lack of initiative, several weeks before trial I made a 5 hour round trip to view the easement in question, and before I returned to my office I reviewed records concerning this property at the County Courthouse for another hour. I spoke to three witnessses and had them subpoenaed to court. If a lawyer loses a case, many clients think it's the lawyer's fault. I am willing to admit when I make mistakes, but I gave this client my best effort, and the Court ruled against her.
