This review is from a person who hired this attorney.

Worst Experience Ever

I hired Justin to help me in a custody battle where my children have been put through a lot and it is a very important and serious situation for me as a Mother and for my children. I trusted him when he claimed to be a lot of things and in all reality he ended up being the worse “attorney” I have eve...r met and I’ve dealt with many in Saline County. Justin constantly refused to do his job, failed to file things, failed to speak to people, failed to do anything other than the basic paperwork required of him when he took my money on the day I hired him. Justin would go days and weeks without responding to me about my own case and in several instances, time sensitive and serious information and/or questions. I’ve worked with lawyers/law firms much bigger than Justin Huett and even they have the respect for their clients to acknowledge emails. Acknowledge texts. If they weren’t able to help me at that time, they would let me know they would follow up the following day and set a time to speak with me. I filed my request for custody in JULY of 2022 it is FEBRUARY of 2023 and hardly anything has been done. I just now, as of a few days ago, found out we had a court date, he couldn’t even get a court date until now and I had to find it online myself, my own “attorney” didn’t even inform me and it’s in JUNE almost an entire year from when I filed. Mind you, this is only a change of custody not a divorce etc. Today Justin had the audacity to withdraw himself as my attorney. I have done most of the work for Justin, including reading 800 pages of medical records FOR HIM. So that he didn’t have to spend his precious time doing it. We have an attorney ad litem for the children, he has given me excuse after excuse as to why he just simply “can’t get ahold of her” yet everyone else has been able to. When my children and I met with the ad litem for the first time, he didn’t even call to ask me about how the meeting went, he didn’t prepare me for how it would go or the process or anything. I am simply disgusted at how he took advantage of me as a woman and person already dealing with being treated badly on a daily basis. I’m disgusted at how he talked down to me, how he lied to me about his skills & abilities and how he had done nothing but add a tremendous amount of stress in my and my children’s lives by refusing to do his job, when I hired him to have my back, to fight for us, to do whatever he could to help me and he did nothing but lie to me and take money from me. I tried discussing these issues with him & the importance of communicating with your clients and he replied “I talk to you more than any other client” that’s pathetic considering he’s met with me in person ONE TIME the day I hired him in July and never again. And he’s talked to me on the phone maybe 5 times since July mine you, while he’s driving, with girlfriend or children in the car and busy going somewhere, he couldn’t even find 20 mins to have s professional conversation in the 8 months he has been my “attorney” I’m not mad that he’s not my attorney, he was going to be replaced anyways, but I am mad at the time he has wasted, the money he has taken, the work he refused to do. I know without a doubt he withdrew from counsel because he is not capable of handling complex family court cases. He doesn’t know how to and he doesn’t care enough to devote his time to his clients unless it’s something simple and easy. He didn’t even have the respect to speak to me beforehand or reach out to me personally. I plan on making sure every knows what they will get when they hire him & that nobody else will be taken advantage of and lied to about his capabilities or his character. He does not care about his clients. He cares about money and that’s it. I would have had things filed and this case further down the line had I done it on my own and that says a lot. If you have a simple case like someone stole your cat, he’s the one for you. If you have anything involving children or family, BEWARE.

Very disappointed

He represented me after my husbands death in an unlawful detainer brought by my inlaws to evict me and my husbands probate. He barely responded to my questions and when it came to retrieving my possession's ,i barely got anything back because instead of filing a motion immediately after the eviction ...he just went back and forth with their attorney,by the time i received some of my things, justin huett had quit and withdrew as my counsel. I trusted him to represent me and he let me down.

Justin

Justin was very thorough with everything. He was quick to respond to my questions and needs. I truly felt like it was important to him to do everything he could to represent me. He was respectful of me and of my feelings with the entire process. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
