Kelly was FABULOUS in office and in court with my child custody case. She tells it like it is and has lots of bite in the courtroom! I was VERY impressed. Kelly represented me during my divorce. Kelly and her staff went above and beyond to represent me and was always looking out for my best interest. They always made me feel like I was a top priority and if she couldn't return my call she followed up with email correspondence. At first she was dynamite. Explosive and made me feel she was behind me every step of the way. Something happened after a year that made me think she knew more than she led on. I've heard so many wonderful things about her persuasion that kept me in her corner. When I began to feel uneasy about my ou...tcome, regarding child custody it was already too late to retain a new lawyer. I discovered fraudulence and revealed it to her but she insisted it was nothing. I suggested other avenues but she persuaded me in a different way. I harped on the physical violence I endured during my marriage with my ex but she encouraged me to not sound "weak." I regret taking her advice AND the path we took to be reevaluated a second time by dr Julia wood, who is "known to favor the dad." If you are a father, by all means hire her. She is expensive and will also point out when she is working "off the clock," but as a mother who knows she was wronged, Kelly suddenly had no pull. Not even dollars or facts could sway our verdict that I feel she knew long before our Judgment. I began noticing her change in demeanor and even went so far as to do my own research and investigation. When I got "hot" she immediately called to turn me around. It's all predetermined I believe. I cried and vented and spilled nothing but the truth but she forewarned me "this would be final" despite the obvious ability to appeal. Opposing counsel messed up during trial and I believed it was finally my break. Fraudulence came to light and I was only too excited to share with Kelly what would change our outcome for the better. Sure, she aligned, empathized, and made me believe it "would be ok," but if the truth was other than predetermination, I wouldn't be on this website asking other attorneys how to handle my new, unanticipated legal issues. She is friends with many other attorneys including several DA's and "judges sons." Before you hire her, ask for a real estimate for victory. I will say she hinted to me we would lose, despite the many contempts my ex was in, but come to find out, she didn't even file them like she was paid to do. A real heartbreaker. Don't trust her.
