If you ever have the misfortune of going before the Medical Board, you will find that it is the most intimidating and stressful experience of your medical career. At work, I confided in one of my colleagues about my suspension, he recommended that I contact Attorney Elzie Alford. I felt that Mr. Alford understood the process and that he understood my case, but the Director was not willing to budge on my consent decree. So, I decided to take my case to trial before the board and I could not believe it but we won. And I say this because if you ever go before the Board you will definitely feel like they are out to get you. But Mr. Alford really understood the medical issues and he did a great job keeping me calm during the hearing. This is probably one of the most nerve-racking experiences you will ever have to go through as a doctor and having someone experienced to walk you through this process that is not afraid to take your case to trial is a godsend. I pray that I never go before the Board again, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Attorney Alford.
