Bio
Johnny served in the Louisiana Army National Guard and U.S. Army from 1987 to 1995 as an 88M Motor Transport Operator, driving 14-ton semi-tractors and actively serving during the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait. After his military service, he built a life of service, hard work, and advocacy. He graduated from LSU and earned his J.D. from Southern University Law Center. In 2002, he opened the Joubert Law Firm in Baton Rouge, where he and his team of experienced lawyers, paralegals, and support staff concentrate on representing individuals navigating complex injury claims.

Johnny’s military experience, particularly behind the wheel of large commercial vehicles, gives him a unique perspective in truck and motor vehicle collision cases. He also has a deep understanding of the challenges veterans face and works to prevent prior military injuries from being used unfairly against them in new insurance claims.

Community and Professional Involvement
Johnny has remained deeply engaged in bar-associated and veteran-focused activities. He is the founder and past chairman of the Baton Rouge Bar Association Veterans Day Committee. He serves on the board of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), New Orleans Chapter and is the co-founder and chairman of the AUSA Scholarship Committee. He is a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He has been a frequent guest speaker at LSU Law School’s Professionalism Orientation Program and has served as a Louisiana Assistant Bar Examiner for the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure. He supports Moot Court and Mock Trial programs at Southern University Law Center, LSU Law School, and local high schools. Each year, Joubert Law Firm hosts a Veterans Day Flag Giveaway. He contributes to the AUSA chapter’s scholarship efforts and has participated in the Legion of Mars parade honoring first responders, law enforcement, and veterans. He is committed to mentoring young lawyers and has spoken on Veterans in the Legal Field with LSU’s Advocacy Group.
