Irritated & Dismissive Judge

I had a very disappointing experience with Judge K Brooks during my unemployment hearing. I went into the process hoping for a fair, professional, and thoughtful exchange. Unfortunately, what I encountered was quite the opposite. Throughout the hearing, it was evident that the judge lacked the ope...nness and integrity one would expect in such a critical setting. She repeatedly interrupted me while I was speaking, often attempting to reframe or twist my words. When I firmly clarified my statements to ensure my testimony remained accurate and organic to my lived experience, she seemed visibly irritated. It was as if being clear and assertive about my own story was offensive to her. She did not create a neutral or respectful environment. Her tone came off as dismissive, and her overall attitude gave the impression that she had already made a judgment before hearing my full case. This conduct was not just unprofessional—it reflected a mindset that felt outdated and out of touch with what modern-day justice should look like. I expected a space where facts would be respected and the process handled with impartiality. Unfortunately, what I experienced mirrored the stereotypical, authoritarian judge persona we’ve all seen depicted poorly in media—something I truly hoped we had evolved beyond in the 21st century. If you’re someone who values fairness, transparency, and being heard, I would be cautious in expecting those qualities here.

Has No Human Like Qualities

She isnt human she has no remorse does not care about feelings or situations. Is very short and will hang up on you. I needed her assitance in my Unemployment matter after she was put on my case she didnt listen or aid me in any way she didnt care, she was only looking out for the institution and to ...get paid. I hope this woman realizes how horrible the system she works for treats people but she doenst care she only does it for the money
