Heather Shawn Duplantis

Heather Duplantis practices in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance and reinsurance, focusing primarily in insurance coverage litigation and defense of professionals.  She is a litigator with over 10 years of experience, and devotes much of her practice to representing insurance agents and brokers, attorneys, home inspectors, architects, and other professionals in a wide variety of errors and omissions claims in both state and federal court.

Ms. Duplantis also has significant experience litigating complex business and commercial disputes. She began her legal career in Austin, Texas, where she worked as a litigator for five years, first as an associate at Vinson & Elkins, LLP and then as a partner at Reeves & Brightwell LLP, before returning home to her native Louisiana and joining Phelps Dunbar’s Baton Rouge’s office in 2006.
