Since 1983, David Stanley has successfully practiced federal and state criminal defense, wrongful death, and personal injury law from his office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born, raised, and educated in Louisiana, Mr. Stanley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Louisiana State University in1979 and a Juris Doctor degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University in1983. He received his license to practice law in Louisiana in 1983. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Louisiana and all other state appellate courts and district courts in Louisiana.
Mr. Stanley is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. He has also been admitted to practice pro hac vice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Mr. Stanley has successfully argued cases before the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
In his personal life, Mr. Stanley is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife have been married for over 29 years and they have been blessed with four wonderful children and three grandchildren. He is an avid fan of all LSU sports. He loves music and plays both piano and guitar. He also enjoys offshore saltwater fishing, duck hunting, skeet shooting, golf, cooking, coaching youth sports, and traveling with his family.
