Michael S. Donovan

Michael Donovan represented me in my DWI court case. He was very knowledgeable in this area. He was able to help me keep my driver's license and avoid large fines and jail time. He helped get my case into a pretrial diversion program. He knew the ins and outs of the legal system and kept me informed of the best decisions to make. I plan to use him again in the near future for other services such as living wills and prenuptial agreements before I get married.

This guy always does a great job for me. He's handled wills, estate stuff, and a few other things and he always comes through for me. Easy to work with and I trust him completely.

In August 2022, we paid Fleur de Lis Law and Title to handle it succession. We called periodically to check on the progress. Suddenly, in March, Michael Donovan sends us a letter in the mail saying they could no longer represent us and that the Chancery Court was giving us 30 days to find a new lawyer. I sent Michael Donovan a text asking him to call me after I called his office and did not hear back from him (and time was of essence). Days later he called me back (after several attempts to handle this on my own, to no avail), and said he sees I was able to speak to a lawyer he recommended to take over the succession. Michael was not truthful on at least two occasions.: 1) The text I sent him to his phone. When I approached him about not returning my calls, he said, “Oh, you sent me a text?” Sometimes I don’t get my texts so I have to refresh my phone.” I told him my phone said it was delivered, and that he did receive it. He did not deny this, but he also did not confirm it. he just gave the excuse I provided above. 2) When I called the Chancery Court, they told me that they knew nothing about the “30 day provision letter” mentioned above. Bottom line: About 9 months later, we wasted a lot of time, money and energy to get nowhere!
