Jerri and Jodi have been my saving grace over the last 2.5 years. Jerri is a beast in the court room and knows what she is taking about. She does not sugar coat or mislead you. Jerri is honest and will not milk you for what you do or don't have. Jerri's rate is what is because she does her best. Also... as far as staff goes, Jodi has done a great jump listening to me, guiding me and supporting me. She is an angel. This lawfirm has good people, real people and you get what you pay for. Absolutely awful. The office has the RUDEST receptionists with a childish attitude who avoid phone calls and emails and pretend they don't have any answers about where Smitko is once you get them on the phone. They even went as far as pretending they couldn't hear me on different phone lines!! I s...pent thousands to have paperwork filed, after already doing most of the legwork myself. I explained to both Jerri and Jodi (one of the rude paralegals) my purpose for filing and that ALL I needed was a "professional" to help me confirm the filing was being done in the proper way. After weeks and weeks of ZERO contact and multiple unreturned calls and emails, I finally had to explain to Smitko AGAIN for at least the third time over the course of 4 months what my case was even about, only to find out they still hadn't begun the filing process or even attempted to contact the other party!! AVOID this place at all costs if you want your case taken care of seriously and efficiently!

I first went to this office over 2 years ago in desperate need for someone to assist me with child custody and community property issues. Ms. Smitko took my information and she and her team told me not to worry about anything, they would fight for me. My first experience of seeing her at work was dur...ing a deposition with my ex-husband. I was terrified and stressed until I could not sit still. This powerful attorney worked this event so hard and powerful and I never had to open my mouth. Each time I have had some issues with my case, she has worked and maneuvered so powerful and fiercely that all my anxiety left and I wasted energy. My recent court event, went so amazing with her quick thinking, enormous amount of knowledge and zest in performance in the courtroom which took my breathe away. But, the one thing that I can say that sticks out most about Ms. Jerri and her team, is the sincere love and patience they have invested to protect us.
