I am the managing member of Lewis, Kullman, Sterbcow & Abramson, LLC, and I have dedicated my career to representing individuals and families harmed in catastrophic maritime cases. Over the years, I have been entrusted with leadership roles in some of the most significant maritime disasters in U.S. history. I served on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for the Deepwater Horizon litigation, where I was co-lead trial lawyer in the landmark liability trial. More recently, I was appointed Plaintiffs’ Co-Liaison Counsel in the SEACOR Power disaster litigation.

My peers and the judiciary have recognized this work by placing me among the Fellows of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an honor reserved for the top trial attorneys in the nation and the world.

The Deepwater Horizon and SEACOR Power cases reflect the trust placed in me to manage enormous challenges, coordinate massive litigation, and hold powerful corporations accountable. I believe success in these cases requires more than knowledge of maritime law, it takes relentless preparation, mastery of trial strategy, and the ability to lead in moments of crisis.

Beyond the courtroom, I’ve also been deeply involved in strengthening the legal community. I’ve served as President of the Louisiana Association for Justice and as a member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. These roles reflect my commitment to protecting the civil justice system and ensuring that individuals, not just corporations, have a fair chance in court.
