Hi I hired this lawyer in 2019 and it’s about to be 2025 I’m about another 5 months still nothing I am left In the blind to what’s going on with my case. I call no answer, I leave messages and emails still nothing. I was told my case was set for deposition and still I have not heard nothing. Is this ...lawyer receiving settlement checks and not reaching out to his clients. I need help on who to contact or what to do. Is been a horrible road dealing with this lawyer. I just want to know why he does not update his clients or return calls or if there is no case please communicate what’s the problem? Something just does not set right with me with Mr. Meisner!!

I was in a horrible car accident in Sept 2023, left me permanently disabled, can barely walk now. I hired Peter meisner to represent me, he has been horrible to say the least, it's coming up on the 1yr Anniversary and I've never once heard so much as update or status, we were set for deposition on Ju...ly 17 2024 and over 4 months in advance I explained to him I cannot travel because my car was totaled in accident, I have no living relative near me, I live alone and can barely walk from my bedroom to living room. He assured me that he would come to me, however THE NIGHT BEFORE THE DEPOSITIONS he called and cancelled staying he was too busy and I haven't heard from him since. I've called him at least 5times a week every week , I have emailed him, he has ignored my calls, messages, emails etc... he has left me totally in the dark and I have no idea what to do. He has been incompetent, rude, and unprofessional from the beginning. I truly believe he should lose his license to practice law altogether, he is more of a threat to the public than any sort of legal help. I will be reporting him the the Louisiana Bar Association as well as reaching out to an Ethics attorney to see what exactly I can and need to do. I honestly hope no one falls victim to his incompetent practices like I have.

I hired Mr. Meisner to handle 2 suits for me and both went horribly. He did not respond to my emails or calls. On the first suit he didn't contact the attorneys representing the other party even though they tried to settle within 45 days of filing the suit. He brought another attorney to help in this... suit whom had just come off of suspension. After years of asking for updates and getting no response he quit and I ended up defending myself. On the second suit he said it would be a very quick settlement yet it was dragged out years. I received little communication on it as well. I sent an email stating I no longer wished to move forward with his representation and 3 days later he responded with a settlement offer. I was then mislead on what the final amount I'd be receiving was, accused of not mentioning medical bills even though I had on almost every communication, his fee changed twice, the final amount changed multiple times and the settlement check has still not been issued because I am not in agreement with his fee and terms. He never gave me a written or verbal contract so I didn't know what his possible fees would be and now in limbo awaiting to see what will happen next. It has been horrible on every which way.
