Lack of Follow-Through on Time-Sensitive Case

I reached out to Casey Denson Law for a time-sensitive matter. They accepted my $250 consultation fee payment and were fully aware of the urgency and strict timeline involved. They even squeezed me in for an earlier consultation because they knew how quickly I needed help because the situation was so... bad. Initially, they seemed eager to help and assured me that the timeline should not be an issue. They told me that they deal with this situation all the time with the same institution. However, after the consultation, they stopped being responsive and placed the burden entirely on me—despite my repeated explanations that I could not handle the situation alone which was why I reached out in the first place. They missed multiple follow-up opportunities, ignored emails, and even called at unscheduled times without following through when I tried to coordinate something workable. Nearly a month went by as I tried repeatedly to follow up, just desperate for any real help, but nothing ever moved forward. Every time I tried to set up a time for a phone call, she wouldn’t respond, yet she seemed annoyed when I attempted to communicate via email instead. By the time it became clear that no action was being taken, it was too late for me to find alternative counsel. I was left feeling misled and unsupported during an incredibly critical time. Proceed with extreme caution.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
