My SSDI case wound up with this firm after the lawyer I originally hired, sent my entire file to him just a few weeks before I had my hearing scheduled (waited 2 years for the hearing date). He notified me that he was going to have to reschedule the hearing as he needed to review my case and make sur...e all the medical records were in his hands. This was heartbreaking, but understandable. (I wound up waiting another 4 mos for the rescheduled hearing.) In the conversation, it was brought out that his office did not pay for medical records. Long story short, Greenbaum did not represent me, but a great lawyer in his firm did and won my case 100% at the hearing. Well the day after he received his $6,000 I received a call from Greenbaum himself stating that he had an outstanding bill for medical records he paid, and requested I send him a check for $48! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So, I reminded him of what he said and he diffused the question and requested that I send money for the medical records. So I did. I thought this was in very poor taste that a lawyer who was just sent a check from Social Security for $6,000 turns around and wants pocket change!

After meeting with an attorney from this office, we received a letter stating that they would not be able to assist us further, but with no explanation. Months later, we received a letter from SSA with a hearing date and began to prepare for it when we found out that Greenbaum's office had never with...drawn officially from the case and would receive their percentage if we won. It took weeks of fruitless voicemails and rude customer service before anyone agreed to send a letter to withdraw.
