Anonymous * review is baseless: 1) The notary CANNOT also be a witness and an Acknowledged Act requires 2 witnesses AND a notary, 2) What male attorney would possibly be available to meet a client on Superbowl Sunday while the Superbowl was playing, 3) Annonymous didn't pay for Mr. Grisbaum's serv...ices, but his fee was beyond reasonable. 4) You successfully surrendered your child to a loving home, you should be thanking Mr. Grisbaum.

Not professional, unprepared, rushed and not very good at what he was hired to do: which was prepare a simple document that then needed to be notarized for a private adoption. Initially in the document he had the adopting parents names wrong (names of grandparents in the case), then I asked for one a...dditional request to be added to the paperwork and so the only changes made were 1) adding one request 2) bringing attention to his errors about the names, and he then went and told the other adopting party’s attorney that I was “jerking him around.” Then we finally get the paperwork together and he asks that I bring someone for a witness as we needed two witnesses. I arrange this, I’m driving to the city from the northshore with my friend who arranged her day around this to witness for me and then he cancels an hour before hand. Finally, weeks later the stars align and we make it to the notary’s office with this document with Grisbauld. He doesn’t make eye contact or explain the document (literally his entire reason for being there, he was hired to put the document together and go over it with me piece by piece so I knew what I was signing and have it signed in front of a notary). I then ask for a copy on the spot as this guy is incredibly hard to get a hold of, I understand that but I’m not letting him walk out back to his busy life without giving me a hard copy. He acts like he didn’t hear me, I ask once more and he acts completely put out. THIS IS AN ADOPTION. A huge life altering event. Sorry, guy, that I want the paperwork in my hand??? Edited to add in response to the review above: apparently you can’t give an honest and truthful summary of Mr. Grisbauld as an attorney without him retorting in his own reviews… again, very professional. Nobody ever attempted to meet on Super Bowl Sunday..? The day that he cancelled our meeting 60min beforehand after I had arranged for another person to come with me to witness, was a Monday. And I never said I paid him but he was hired to represent me on my behalf, and he delivered poorly.

Mr. Grisbaum has handled various legal matters for me and others I have recommended for years. His professional acumen and integrity are beyond reproach. His ability to litigate complex legal issues is impressive. Gevin is an expert at mitigating legal issues to bring mutual and amicable resolution t...o all parties involved thus avoiding trial-based litigation. However, if trial is necessary, Gevin defends his clients vigorously and expertly. I give Mr. Grisbaum my highest recommendation.

We hired Gevin in July of 2015 for my child support case which he handled with excellence! He then represented me for a custody case and was very knowledgeable and averted a disastrous living arrangement for my special needs child. Mr. Grisbaum has been a blessing and I have recommended him to sever...al people, all of whom have been very pleased with their experiences as well.
