Credit where it is due.

My Review of Berry Law Firm Prior to hiring Berry Law as my representation, I was really struggling with the red tape from the government. For instance, one of my major hurdles was obtaining my medical records from the National Archives. These were withheld from me for 27 years and getting them so...oner would have helped tremendously. Looking back on my journey in all of this, I had no idea of what I was up against. In hind sight, calling them sooner would have been in my best interest. Additionally, having used three Veteran Service Officers previously, my thoughts suggested that my resources for my case had been exhausted. And after all these years gone by, my estimation was not positive for service connection. After years of running up against a brick wall time and time again, my searching lead me to Berry Law. Having skepticism after being brushed off by other law firms, I signed an agreement with Berry Law Firm and was assigned to Taylor Wikum. Mr. Wikum was more than I could have asked for in regards to my situation. He was an extremely good communicator and very thorough throughout the whole process. Struggling with residuals from a TBI made it impossible for me to keep track of all the details. Mr. Wikum was just what I was looking for in this seeming endless sea of red tape. His attention to detail gave me peace of mind, with the knowledge that the VA correspondence was timely and accurate. In closing, after receiving service connection and compensation, there is a feeling validation finally. It is a sense of finally being believed and not treated like some sort of ostracized outsider. Although day to day life is hard, this in some way makes it a little easier being able to afford things I cannot do for myself any longer. Thanks to Mr. Wikum and Berry Law Firm for making this possible for me.

When you contract with a lawyer who cares things get done.

July 11, 2025, was a very triumphant day for me. After struggling for years for my disability benefits, I was rejected by other law firms, one of whom told me my case was hopeless since I was discharged in 1971, and it has been a long time since then. Another told me there was little or no evidence i...n my SR to justify filing for disability. I was very disappointed, as these law firms claim to share the same mission: to help veterans receive the compensation they are entitled to. Before contacting Berry Law, I was scheduled for a BVA hearing and had prepared a list of the items I would cover, along with evidence to support my case. I gave the information to the representative at Barry Law, explaining that I did not want to face the judge without proper legal representation. I was later contacted by Mr. Taylor Wikum, who agreed to take up my case. The hearing was successful, and the prior reduction in my disability was established at a higher rating. Mr. Wikum agreed to discuss my other pending filings and the evidence I must provide to prove service connection. Mr. Wikum took a chance on a 76-year-old veteran who was struggling to prove his disabilities are service-connected. We faced numerous obstacles, including missing information and incorrect or incomplete medical evaluations in my SR. Additionally, my military file serves as a repository for information on other service members with the same name as mine. This made my case harder to prove, as most of my evidence was missing. I started with a 20% rating that was later reduced to 10%. I am now 100% thanks to Mr. Wikum's strategies, his caring, determination, and professionalism.

Life changing decision

I can’t explain how much I really appreciate their service. My experience with them was life changing to say the least. I went through a rough time a few years ago hitting rock bottom. Worst moment where everything you can think of went wrong. Lost my job, divorce, car broken into and not drivable. A... friend of mine reached out to me told me to contact them and what they do. I never wanted to file thinking there was no point since I had been out for years. When I did call them it only took a year and a few months for me to go from 0-100% P&T. Throughout the process I had my doubts thinking it would be impossible but every time I thought they were done my rating kept climbing. I didn’t stress about anything. I showed up to my VA appointments and they just kept increasing my rating. They turned my life around. I bought my first house because of them. I’ve got a great job and get to help other veterans like myself who had doubts. Don’t fight this alone. The fact that most of the staff are veterans themselves made them the best and easiest decision I’ve ever made. Great job Berry Law. I cannot explain how happy I am now because of this team. Thank you Taylor Wikum for getting me where I am today.

US Army Combat Veteran

I contacted Berry Law firm after submitting my own VA claims which I was receiving 60% rating that was over 12 years ago. After one consultation with the attorney he was able to assist me in refilling my claims and advised me on my rights. This was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I ...still had to deal with the VA process but the Berry Law team was able to help me navigate, submit and understand the system. Within 5 months on my first appeal I was awarded a 100% rating! This is life changing for me and my family with the struggles we live with after the wars. I can’t say enough about this excellent team.
