When I had my military discharge physical in 1968, the doctor said I had a 10% hearing loss in my left ear. I really didn’t give his comments much weight then as I stayed in the reserves and earned my retirement. However, during that time period, my hearing continued to slowly deteriorate. I also had never used the VA system because of all the horror stories I had heard.
