Working with Stephanie Costello and Berry Law has had to be one of the best decisions I have made thus far. I am in Houston and Stephanie and her team were able to help me anyway. First I'd like to say thank you to Stephanie Costello. Stephanie handled my Claim in such a professional and compassionate way. Filed for ptsd and was denied 2 times. I’m not really sure how to start this letter but to offer a very humble thank you to Stephanie!!! I remember not more than a couple years ago I contacted her. Once Berry Law accepted me as a client, Stephanie got right to work and within a fairly short amount of time, I went from 40 to 70 to 90 and ...recently was granted 100% VA Disability. She stopped at nothing! She didn't let the VA push me around and devalue me. She never let up and always kept me in the loop and share documents she sent to the VA. Mrs. Costello was outstanding. I was being pushed around by Prescott V.A. and in 2017 they decreased my hearing to 0%. Mrs. Costello handled several appeals for PTSD and Hearing all ending with positive results. The end result was a 100% rating. When I had my military discharge physical in 1968, the doctor said I had a 10% hearing loss in my left ear. I really didn’t give his comments much weight then as I stayed in the reserves and earned my retirement. However, during that time period, my hearing continued to slowly deteriorate. I had n...ot kept a copy of my discharge physical; of course it was destroyed in the St. Louis warehouse fire that destroyed so many military records. I also had never used the VA system because of all the horror stories I had heard. A couple of years ago some friends, who had also served in the military and whose hearing was also a problem for them, and I started commiserating with each other about our hearing loss and wishing we had initiated action to obtain financial remuneration. However, we all felt that being unfamiliar with the maze of government regulations and trying to get some compensation at our age would be a long, tedious and likely losing battle. Then someone said that he had used the Berry Law Firm whose sole mission was to help veterans get through the laborious paperwork and did not charge anything unless our case was favorably adjudicated. The law firm had helped him with the paperwork and he had been awarded compensation. I contacted them and was assigned lawyer Stephaine Costello who I quickly learned was very knowledgeable of the regulations regarding hearing loss.
