Will contest

He helped me with a will contest and was very knowledgeable of the laws for wills. I was very pleased with the outcome and would recommend him to anyone.

Ms. Kathryn

NEEDS TO Be ZERO STARS rating! WAY BELOW POOR RATING!---read this whole review! Like review stated from 2017--a rat and do not hire. Just moving back into Omaha area2017 - I also google searched not knowing area anymore. Oh Jay Ferguson will take your money (BEWARE--don't give cash as he does NOT gi...ve receipts!) Needed an attorney right away due to finding Mom w/ dementia and siblings stealing her money n assets. Jay Ferguson a snidely whiplash person n attorney. He lied about top amount case could cost. Jays bookkeeping sucks-He apologized for not sending out bills in 3 mnths then 6 mnths and later bill was quadrupled and he won't send any detail on bills?! He talks to keep hourly going when a person is stressed out finding lies about siblings etc. He dropped me b4 case was done after complaint he left town and refused to file a paper on time. Law says has give copies of ALL file and can't leave you without an attorney -he did!--and he only copied a few pages several times I still am waiting 3 years later for papers to go forward in case! He also kept Moms medical records (too many to copy so I loaned him my paid for copies!) Still waiting for complete file and now have to go forward pro se--NOT IN NE--Court doesn't care or recognize you! If last attorney in world I would never use. He uses very creative talk, billing, etc and won't communicate. Lies every time his mouth is opened. I don't know where to look for questions or answers to file correctly which NE obviously doesn't are for pro se people and do not want u to file.

Excellent Attorney

My wife and I were very fortunate to be able to enlist the services of this attorney. He demonstrated in depth knowledge of the intricacies of the law and procedures while winning our custody case. At the same time he was personable and that helps when going through any emotionally charged situation....

Negative experience

I found this attorney based on a Google search. Not a good idea. Never again. I can smell a rat a mile away. I consulted with, but did not hire him based on his non-answers to some simple questions over the phone. I really give him zero stars. The review guidelines here state that I am not to be too ...specific so I won't go into any more detail other than to say that based on a nine-minute phone consultation this is the last attorney on the planet I'd hire. His resume seems to indicate he mostly handles small cases, entry-level, remedial legal stuff and I have a fairly big money, fairly high stakes case that cries out for someone who knows what they're doing.
