There is only one side Cletus is on if you hire him to represent you in any form- his own. In almost 6 years from day 1 contacting him via phone/text dozens of times for info and status on my case, he maybe responded twice. I and family members went to his office about 3 years after day 1 and the bui...lding was vacant. He had joined another firm/location and didnt even inform me. He never discussed anything about the case or info he was using to build any case whe I would text him or leave voicemail. When finally action was needed about 5~7 years in and a litigation type hearing, I was able to casually glance at some photos he had of what had injured me permanently and they were of the wrong equipment as told to me directly by many witnesses. Close to another negotiating meeting and I finally got him on the phone for status he flat out stated: "It looks like we are going to (jury) trial". When we got in the meeting which took approx 5 hours I was in a great deal of pain as usual. He fully used that against me and told me he was starting the settlement amount negations at X amount. He then started at 1/50th of that amount and turned into some bi-polar sophomoric amateur. At close to the 5 hour point of this negotiating meeting I stated clearly many times it was not acceptable and we are going to trial as he had previously told me on the phone. Instead of sitting next to me as when we started, he moved across the table facing me and had a temper tantrum like episode saying he will pack up and leave the case because he would NOT go to trial as he previously stated. He was unprepared, was there only to get through anything and represent his own blown up un proven reputation, amateurish, misinformed, superficial, and represented me and the factual conditions of my case to a final ~1/100th X amount settlement of what normally is awarded thru a jury trial process. A total fail as a attorney and complete textbook 101 form letter amateur. Do not believe what you see in the media about him, especially Omaha magazine.

From seeing the reviews left I see Mr. Blakeman is still an unreliable attorney too busy trying to be important to really be effective for his clients. In a wrongful death suit he handled for us I did most of the leg work and calls to collect the insurance benefits from both the adverse driver & our ...insurance policies and to this day a check his office received has never been paid out to us. He made all sorts of promises that neither he nor the firm he worked with stood behind. A very unpleasant experience being "represented" by Mr. Blakeman
