On June 6, 2013, the plaintiff applied for SSI alleging that he was disabled due to auditory hallucinations, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, PTSD and diabetes.[2] (R. at 82.) His application was de ... nied initially and upon reconsideration. He requested a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge ("ALJ"). On September 9, 2015, the plaintiff, represented by counsel, testified at the hearing. A vocational expert also testified. On December 8, 2015, the ALJ issued a decision finding that the plaintiff was not disabled. On May 16, 2017, the Appeals Counsel denied review, making the ALJ's decision final. In July 2017, the plaintiff commenced this action. On December 4, 2017, the plaintiff filed a motion for reversal or remand and on February 2, 2018, the defendant filed a motion to affirm.
