Inadequate and money driven

I felt she was biased from the start towards my ex. After spending a few grand on her making sure he could flout the orders set forth, I finally wrote to the sitting judge to get out of case management with her. She only cost me money and didn't really help the situation at all. I would not recommend... her to anyone for any kind of help unless you have a bottomless pit of money.

complete cluster

worst experience ever. Stacy was hired as our LCM. She continued to want to meet separately with my ex and I, and would tell us different information, leading to more meetings. She felt it was too hostile for us to meet in the same room. You want hostile, tell parties different things. Just got ...a bill for 2 years ago. Have not received anything since then, was all paid up. I don't know what is going on, but that is ridiculous. Not a mathematician, but have never seen anything as confusing as the spreadsheet she sends out. Have had several people look at and they say they same thing. Invoice is better, but you have to watch it. Constantly receiving charges that were my exs. In the end, she just wanted to get paid. My two kids' and my exes and my issues were an inconvenience. We would get a final decision, and she wouldn't enforce it. Said she knew my ex was telling my son things he wasn't old enough to handle, but had no proof. Don't waste your time or money.

Completely Unhappy

Stacy Ortega was the worst lawyer to hire for our child support/time adjustment case. To begin, her case load is immensely more than she can handle. We had a terrible time getting a hold of her or responses to our questions. At one point our LCM had asked us to gather character witnesses and we had t...o tell her we couldn't ever get ahold of Stacy on exactly who we were supposed to recruit. She eventually got back to everyone asking for a personal extension because her work load was overwhelming. She was dealing with our personal lives in the greatest aspect and couldn't give us the time of day. When everything was settled it took her no time to ask for payment. In fact, we talked to her 10x more when she was looking for compensation than when we actually needed her help. My advice to anyone considering hiring Stacy is to not. She might be a good lawyer, but we'd never know because she was never fully involved or on the same page as everyone else in the case. We will never work with Mrs. Ortega again.

Excellent attorney

Stacy helped me file for and resolve my divorce after I discovered my husband was unfaithful. She was knowledgeable and helped me to see reason through my emotions. Stacy was not afraid to tell me what I needed to hear, even when I did not want to hear it. I found both her and her staff to be courteo...us and warm. They were compassionate and patient with me. Her fees were reasonable and she always sent me invoices every few weeks so I knew what I owed her. I would recommend her to a family member or a friend who needed her help.

Review

I hired Stacy and spent thousands for her to be rude, insulting, dismissive and she charged me for doing things that were not required of her such as emailing my exes lawyer non-stop and charging me for it. I needed help enforcing a temporary child support and alimony order and KPS told me that they ...didn't have what they needed from her. She did not comply and I feel she purposefully dragged it out knowing there were easier alternatives for a single mother like myself. I ended up firing her and won my divorce case myself. That should tell you something.
