I was sent to Mr. Hawley through Kansas legal aid, while fighting with my ex. I went in for my consultation, and he listened to every detail of everything going on. And with just an email, took care of the issue. He was quick, efficient, and after 2 other lawyers letting me down, I felt like I finally had someone in my corner. I have been involved with the family court since 2008. I have been in and out of the family court room an estimated time of over 20 or more times. Within that time I have had 4 attorneys. David Hawley is my 4th attorney and let me say that being a person with limited means it was refreshing to find a well experienced and straight forward attorney. It was very important to me to find an attorney who I could build a client/attorney relationship with, whom I could trust and count on to actually put in the work and defend me, instead of taking me for the little money I had by coming up with frivolous matters that would draw out. Atty. David Hawley is the best lawyer I have ever met in my life. He's just not a hardworking man but is also very smart and very good at what he's doing. He would never lie to you just to make you feel good or to hear what you want to hear. He will tell you straight forward what will happen. Not like other lawyers that will keep lying to you so you will be broke when your case is finished. He helped me from the beginning and stayed by my side till the case was done. I am very happy that I hired him and I would highly recommend him because you will not waste you time or money. He's really worth it.

Right in the middle of the case David threatened to drop my case because of non payment. I had already paid him over $3500. He didn’t want to wait until it was all done. I had to plead with him not to. Very humiliating. I paid him in full.

I hired David Hawley in April of 2016 for a fairly simple need that he confirmed would be quick and easy. He stated that he would be returning part of my retainer fee it was that easy. He went through my retainer in less than 2 months and drug the whole thing out until last month which was November of 2017. I could go on for hours. I would highly NOT recommend him to anyone. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Kansas Bar Association and I would suggest that anyone reading this that has had the same issues do the same thing to protect others.
