Estate Planning really encompasses all of the other areas listed here. It is a matter of helping you determine what your goals are for your assets. The next step is to design a plan that will support your ideals and help your plan achieve the goals that you set out. It can be anything from asset preservation to passing on your values to your children.

Trusts are used in a variety of disciplines including Estate Planning, Elder Law, Special Needs Planning, and Asset Protection. When designing trusts it is essential to have a good understanding of the strengths and limitations of any particular type of trust.

Elder Law usually consists of Medicaid Planning and Veteran's Benefits Planning. This is one are of estate planning where the benefits can be seen in dollars and cents before a person dies. It is very gratifying to help people with this type of planning.

Business organizations is a peripheral area of my practice. All business organization work I do includes elements of asset protection in the business structures. Sometimes the only reason to create the business structure at all is for asset protection.
