really bad experiene

Kristy should be disbarred for the lack of communication with her clients. She would never return calls and I had no idea what was going on with my case. I was completely in the dark 95% of the time. She is unorganized and unprofessional. I would not waste my time or money on an attorney that co...uldn't care less about her client. She relies completely on her staff to do her communicating. Doesn't return calls or messages on a timely basis or not at all. What a disappointment. This is life altering and I needed someone to be in my corner. Shameful....

The worst experience I've ever had with a lawyer

I used Kristy Simpson for both of my child custody cases and was very unhappy, not only with the outcome, but with the entire experience of having her as a lawyer. After hiring Kristy I called the office several times for legal advice and multiple times she was on vacation and I couldne speak to her... for at least a week. One of the times I had a court date and had to attend court on my own because my lawyer, Kristy, was on vacation and her assistant couldn't give me any advice on what I should do. Kristy is the least aggressive lawyer I have ever used and in front of the judge came off as unprepared and nervous. She couldn't keep my cases straight and seemed very unorganized. Out of nowhere I received letters that Kristy was going to drop my case and after calling her she would apologize and say she would stay on my case. She messed up the paperwork more than once which caused me missed visitations with my daughters. When the final paperwork came to us for review, Kristy signed the papers without my approval and became upset when I informed her some of the paperwork was wrong and needed corrected. She then sent me another letter that informed me she was dropping my case again and after calling her office to find out why she never returned my call. She is the worst lawyer I have ever used and I feel sorry for anyone who wastes their time and money on her.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
