OUTCOME: Case is still pending, but we were able to get the woman to a very nice Assisted Living Facility near her daughter.

I was appointed as Conservator over an elderly woman with dementia. As Conservator, it is my duty to manage her financial affairs. After investigating her financial statements, I discovered that a ca ... regiver had withdrawn over $65,000 from her bank account. We were able to work with the bank/credit union and get video tapes and still pictures of the caregiver withdrawing the money. We sued the caregiver and met with the District Attorney and was able to get an indictment against him.

OUTCOME: 1 year old girl received her rightful share of $150,000 of her father's estate

Client had a paternity issue for her daughter and had been to another attorney before contacting us. The father of the girl died before she was born and his estate was being probated in California by ... the grandmother, who denied he was the father. Grandmother took money from estate prior to our involvement. We were able to freeze the estate in California and get a paternity tests proving the deceased was the father. The little girl was able to get over $150,000.

Conservatorship case for recovery of funds

OUTCOME: Thief was arrested and pled guilty and funds were recovered for the Veteran

Niece of WWII Veteran stole over $120,000 from her uncle who was in a nursing home. Once it was discovered, we sued her and had her arrested. We perfected a lien against her house she purchased with h ... er uncle's money and stopped her from selling it. When it did sale, we were able to get all of the proceeds her uncle.

Driver of vehicle was unable to see train at an unmarked crossing because of fog and lack of any signal or lights. She was severely injured and needed constrant care the rest of her life. Case was ap ... pealed to the U.S. Supreme Court by the railroad.
