Dana L. Fahey

Dana L. Fahey is licensed to practice law in Kansas, Missouri, and Massachusetts and currently focuses her practice on family law in Kansas, primarily serving clients throughout Johnson County. Raised in Johnson County, Dana has deep roots in the community she serves and brings both local knowledge and extensive legal experience to every client relationship.

Dana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 2010. During her time at KU, she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity and Sigma Kappa sorority. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor, with honors, from New England Law | Boston in 2013.

While attending law school in Boston, Dana gained valuable legal experience working for criminal defense firm Pomerleau Wood LLP and serving as a student prosecutor in the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. These experiences provided an early foundation in litigation and advocacy that continues to inform her approach to representing clients today.

Before founding Walsh & Fahey, Dana practiced family law at Boothe Walsh Law & Mediation and Manson Karbank McClaflin. She also served as a Criminal Judicial Research Attorney for seven judges in Johnson County District Court, giving her valuable insight into the judicial process and the local court system.

Dana's approach to family law reflects the philosophy at the heart of Walsh & Fahey: whenever possible, help families resolve difficult matters thoughtfully and with as little unnecessary conflict as possible. She works closely with clients to understand their priorities, provide straightforward legal guidance, and pursue practical solutions. When litigation is necessary, Dana draws on her courtroom and judicial experience to provide skilled, prepared advocacy for her clients.

Dana is an active member of the Johnson County Bar Association, where she previously served on the Board of Directors for three years and as Chair of the Young Lawyers Section. She is also a member of the Johnson County Family Law American Inn of Court, where she served on the Executive Board for two years.

For Dana, practicing family law in the community where she grew up is particularly meaningful. She understands that clients often come to Walsh & Fahey during some of the most difficult and uncertain moments of their lives, and she is committed to providing the steady guidance, clear communication, and strong advocacy they need to move forward.

Dana lives in Johnson County with her husband, their two children, and their dog.
