In 2003 we had an irrevocable living trust drawn up by the burger estate law firm. At the time we ask him about updating our living trust and he said it would be a nominal fee. We went back 23 years later with some changes, everything was marked. All amounts were dictated and lined out for him and as...k him what his fee was after an hour and a half of consultation he said $6000 we had originally paid $3000. He told us the laws have changed and he needed to update everything and basically needed to redo everything. It was doubled the cost of what we paid and as of now I am wondering what we paid for originally and is this document valid? We refuse to pay the $6000 and I’m looking for a trustee to make updates to the original living irrevocable change that should’ve been between three and $800.

Tryed to get some questions asked about how to handle my mothers estate n financial matters as she has lewy's body dememinta n couldn't answer. Paid a outrageous retainer fee for him to go thru a box n put it into a-z and recieved no help with financial/banks. Was either to busy at conferences or no ...one was there to help him. I would not hire him again

Not a great experience. My father's estate has been in probate from 2012 until now (Feb 2016). He does not meed court deadlines, and bills questionably in which the Court reduced his fee do to some shady bookkeeping. My father's estate was worth 130K, however, he allowed it to settle for 84K. His... bill took almost 40% of the remaining estate!
