Jon earned his law degree at Vanderbilt Law School in 2004 along with a certificate in business law in conjunction with Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Business. He completed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in finance.

Following law school, Jon clerked at the trial court level for Chief Judge Thomas Brothers in Nashville, Tennessee, after which he associated with the commercial litigation firm of Kay Griffin, Enkema & Brothers, PLLC. He  moved back to his hometown of Kansas City in 2007 and opened his law practice.  He has handled matters in a number of areas, including estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law, non-profit law, intellectual property, and immigration.  He enjoys solving problems for individuals and small organizations, with a high level of client care.

Jon loves being married to his wife, Michelle. They live in Roeland Park, Kansas, with their three daughters, and Leo--the dog.  Jon is involved in his church, several non-profit organizatons, and tries daily to express God's redemptive love in each area of his life. Â

Jon is also a working actor with a long list of commercial clients, including John Deere, Kubota, Walmart, Applebee's, Hallmark, H&R Block, Garmin, Dow, Monsanto, American Century, Kansas and Missouri Tourism, and many others. Â He also performs in musical productions regulalry and has been on stage at the New Theater, American Heartland Theater, the Chestnut, Quality Hill Playhouse, MET, and the Kansas City Symphony.
