The hiring procedures, were the usual letters and meetings with the ambiguous "I’ll put a call into the county attorney and see what I can figure out." If only the county attorney could have helped handling those matters then. All that time we could have cut to the chase; and saved lawyer Dan's n...egotiating forte, the lecture to, us HAYSEEDS by an appraiser and our own personal civics course dealing with county commissioners and planners etc. And maybe it was our (the clients) fault, to want an argument for a better purchase price, or delay for a skilled arbitrator and concessions on a 5th generation legacy property. We eventually informed lawyer Dan his services were no longer needed, payments in full were satisfied, and a lengthy period of time passed. After all was said and done the county had their way with us and our counselor. They did not raise one $ off counter offers from original estimate or other good consideration. What little if any remaining good will between the county planners, elected officials, us, the citizens, would have been better served saving our $ and not having representation.
