Richard M Fisher Jr.

Richard got me out of the state hospital in Osawatomie. He looked at my papers and said "It says here that you started a fire." and I couldn't exactly deny it because I HAD started a fire and then he said "well, OK, I'll push for a dismissal" I was desperately trying to get out. And then he and the j...udge just started shooting the stuff (she said at one point "It says here he started a fire") and then the judge let me go! Just like that! Go, Richard M Fisher Jr.! I will be eternally grateful.

NOT A GOOD ATTORNEY

This is the worst court appointed attorney EVER!!! No communication, no return phone calls, and he, or his assistant, didn't even send paperwork that was needed for the court date. I understand he is a free attorney to his client, but he is paid by the city/state and he doesn't even deserve that. Be...tter off representing myself!!

client

Phone is never hooked up to an answering machine. Has no mailbox at the courthouse for messages. Has no listed email address. Apparently has no office staff. Never contacted me before court. Did not speak with me after court. Weird. Do I have a lawyer?

mr. fisher client

Mr. Fisher was my court opponent lawyer. I went to his office 1 time. other than that he would not answer my calls, nor return my messages. at court I said hi as he continued to walk, I stated Mr. Fisher I have a few questions. He stopped for 10 seconds and before I could finish my question he cuts m...e off and says we cant do that as he is walking away from me. He was very dismissive and rude. We even got into a little dispute in the court room because he didn't know what I wanted to do because he wont give me the time of day. I get he was a free lawyer, but come on he was at the court house why be so dismissive?

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
