Joshua D. Seiden

Mr. Seiden represented me in a bizarre case that I'm not really sure about myself. I was accused of a very absurd and filthy act (a sex crime directed toward a 10-year-old girl), but due to extreme intoxication I really had very little recollection of what had happened which made the entire experien...ce very frustrating and debilitating, though I was always certain of my innocence. Josh values the law. Josh values the tenets of democracy itself. I once asked for the media to be removed from the courtroom and he said something like, "I'm not going to do that, this isn't Iran". He was right. I was wrong. I respect him for that. (But the prosecutor was abusing a personal relationship he had with a media contact...that's what bugged me). He is an idealist and an intellectual. He is a serious lawyer who explained to me that humanly attainable perfection (or an approximation of it) comes from years of dedicated study. He claims that he is on the upward slope of the learning curve. That's humility (which most lawyers lack). I have unfortunately been in contact and seen many lawyers in action. Josh Seiden is among the best already, and I do believe he self-assesses correctly (that he hasn't reached his full potential yet). That's what you want in a lawyer. Someone who reads the books and studies the law and practices by values and conviction. Someone with the humility to understand that he will always have more to learn. It's rare in the profession, unfortunately. If he doesn't know your issue up front, you can be damned sure he will before your hearing (or trial or whatever). He's a great attorney. I recommend him highly.
