Education has been my life. I spent over 15 years at all levels of education; as a coach, teacher, administrator, and state official. I believe schools have the ability to have a dramatic effect on the growth and development of kids. This was made even more evident when my daughter, who has special needs, was born. We had to rely tremendously on the school to provide what she needed. A fundamental part of my experience in education, as a teacher and a parent, was the presence of countless laws and regulatory requirements. I found that the laws were seen as very restrictive, but they don't have to be. When applied with your goals in mind, laws can be a useful tool for the success of your student(s).

As a former educator and a parent, I have walked in your shoes. I am familiar with all of the restrictions and barriers that seem to limit your progress toward achieving your goal. I understand that their are limits to funding. I know that politics plays a role in decision making. I understand that power struggles can make moving forward extremely difficult. I know that the pressure to achieve outcomes on standardized tests is overwhelming. Meeting those demands and still achieving your goal requires creativity. I can help you meet both of these needs.

I will seek solutions in areas one would not normally look. Furthermore, research and data will greatly influence any suggested course of action. I will give great consideration to the different personalities involved when resolving any issue. When providing any service, I will ensure that you adhere to and meet all legal requirements. However, I will also make certain that I put you in the best possible position to achieve your goal. Because time is money, you want to get it right on the your first attempt.
