We decided to hire Brett after meeting with him and seeing his good reviews on AVVO. The guardianship case we brought to him was not pretty but it was necessary. He advised us and gave us guidance as we needed and to help settle our nerves. Needless to say, he was a heavy hitter when it came to court... time and we got the results needed for our loved one and we owe it all to Brett! His fees were reasonable and we'll worth the outcome. Brett seems like he has become a part of the family. Hired by us to defend a child custody battle. From the initial consultation to the very end, He was honest, ethical, and sincere with our desires. Spending ruthless hours making sure that all the bases have been covered prior to any and all court... hearings. From the very beginning over two years ago we hired Brett to defend a Modification custody order. He was honest with us and made sure that we knew, good or bad, to be completely honest with him as well. Through several court appearances we saw how he could take something that seemed bad and made it seem trivial or even a good thing. My main point is, if you want Brett to represent you. Don't beat around the bushes, make sure he knows the whole story, good, bad, and indifferent. Through the whole process, he made sure to step in with immediate action, to protect us, and to make sure that the children received the care that they needed. Never once did we ever have to question his billing. In fact, I would say that on some occasions he took it personal and made it part of his time. Just a part of his upstanding ethics. I won't tell you that he was perfect, as many times in this process it is a throw of the dice. Just as he told us from day one, all we can do is put together our case and convince the judge. I can say however that he never made us feel like we where the only client in the world that mattered, and if something didn't go right he made it personal. In the court room it appeared that he was respected by other Attorney's and Judges as well. Several would stop and visit, when possible. One last note. Brett is one we believe that takes each client seriously and will work relentlessly to make sure everything is prepared and completed on time. It of course means that you have to provide him with any and all homework he wants from you. It was not uncommon for us to get an email late at night, early in the morning, and weekends as well. I Remember one time we spent all of Sunday in his office prepping for court on Monday morning. I would not hesitate one little bit to recommend Brett to any one, in any situation to represent them in a custody battle. I know I'm glad that we, didn't have to go against him. I researched a few attorneys before selecting Mr. Schneider to represent me in my child custody case. I never had a regret from day 1. He genuinely cares about his clients and always goes out of his way to communicate....even if it's the weekend. Brett helped calm my nerves and even in court repr...esented himself to the highest regard. Honestly, in my opinion, his knowledge of law made the other attorney that represented my ex look ill prepared to handle her case.
