Vera graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a double minor in history and global studies.
In 2014, she received her Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law. She became a member of the Missouri Bar in 2015 and a member of the Oklahoma Bar in 2022. Vera is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
