Donovan Duane Dobbs

DONOVAN D. DOBBS earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Northeastern State University in 1988. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1991. Mr. Dobbs went into private practice in 1991in Oklahoma. He moved to Missouri in 2007 and began practicing law there.

For more than 30 years, Mr. Dobbs has refined his legal career as an attorney at law in public service and private practice. He tried his first jury trial during his last semester of law school at the University of Oklahoma and since then has tried more than fifteen murder trials in Oklahoma and Missouri. He has defended clients in a variety of civil cases including personal injury, real estate disputes, and complex business litigation. Mr. Dobbs proudly served the citizens of Christian County as the senior assistant prosecuting attorney from 2007-2015, a role he also performed in Eastern Oklahoma from 2003-2006.

Mr. Dobbs values working hard for his clients and striving to get the results they need. In 2003 Mr. Dobbs’ dedication was rewarded when he was named Oklahoma Prosecutor of the Year by Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA.) In 2006, Mr. Dobbs was awarded Prosecutor of the Year by the Oklahoma Game Warden Association.

While no longer serving the public as a state attorney, Mr. Dobbs now enjoys serving the public through a diversity of civic organizations. Mr. Dobbs currently serves on the Least of These Board of Directors and on the Ozark Fire Protection District Board of Directors. He is active in Kiwanis, where he serves on the Christian County Kiwanis board of directors.
