Joel Thomas Harris

Mr. Harris is a fantastic attorney. He is knowledgeable, ethical, hard working, and assertive in representing the best interests of his clients. He is not an attorney who will tell you exactly what you want to hear if it’s not possible or reasonable, which doesn’t always feel great, but I appreciated... his honest perspective. He is great in the courtroom- he is well prepared and well spoken. I had so much confidence in Mr. Harris and his staff throughout my case and honestly now consider him a friend. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer anyone to him.

Joel was abrupt and very rude. I was shocked at how he could mindfully tell incorrect information to a judge and ignore discovery requests for over 2 years. That forced the judge to order another professional & another attorney to be hired to try to resolve this unreasonably long case which meant mor...e money to paid out to cover their costs. So many legal facts & falsehoods were told by Joel Harris although he knew he was doing it. I don't understand how a man who is an attorney & judge can perform his legal obligation in this manner & sleep at night. Yes, I should have found a new attorney who would have worked for me & remain professionally. Save yourself money, stress, misery & then think seriously before considering Joel Harris to represent you for any legal matter.

My ex husband had fought paying child support for fifteen years and I had been to different attorneys in the past that drug out each modification case which in turn cost me thousands of dollars. Each modification my ex husband had filed, I had "won" in the end but both of us were out so much money pl...us my daughter went through so much emotional damage because of it that NO ONE actually won. My daughter was 17 and again my ex filed another modification and I had no money left and was trying to represent myself and trying to wade through the forms to save money so I could actually do what I needed to do....take care of my children. I met Joel during a class I was taking at a local college and he was the adjunct professor. I spoke to him about my case and he said he could help. He worked with my ex husbands attorney and came to a resolution quickly which put a stop to any additional modifications and most importantly, gave my daughter peace which she had never had before. Joel was always able to be reached to talk, would fill out the documents right when I was in the office and let me do things that I could do to save me money. He explained the pros and cons of each thing we did so I was informed of what would be the outcome. He kept communication to the other attorney to a minimum so it kept the rate down. I respect Joel because he did not do the drama but had concern for others. He is also a Christian, does not flaunt that but it truly shows in his actions not his words. That speaks volumes to me.

We hired Joel as our attorney for our custody case. He was recommended to us from a friend that is a top attorney elsewhere. We were so glad we did. Joel is not only an attorney, but a judge so he knows the law backwards and forwards. The attorney on the other side of our case was supposedly one ...of the "top" attorneys in our area. Joel, having had so much experience with this attorney knew exactly what we were dealing with, and what strategy to employ. He provided us with such great advice that he put our minds at ease throughout the whole process leading up to trial. Joel is kind, attentive and we felt like we were his only client, even though we knew how busy he was in and out of court. At the end of it all, we got the exact outcome we had hoped for, and now consider Joel a friend. How often can you say that about your attorney? Joel is affordable and highly knowledgeable. We didn't have to go into debt to hire him or pay his bill. He is a good man, shoots straight, and always gave us the same legal advice he would give his own family. He never padded the bill for extra hours or silly motions that he knew would go nowhere, he is a stand up guy that we completely trust and will always be our attorney from here on out. I don't think we could have been more pleased with our experience, he made a bad situation bearable.

I have been through several attorneys in the past and have been disappointed with overall performances and outcomes of previous circumstances. My family and I was in a 2 car auto accident that required an attorney. I got online. Done some research and decided that I needed to schedule a consultation ...visit with Joel. We went over the case and decided that working with him would be a good fit. Honestly from there it was a painless process. Everything was handled with car and professionalism.
