I recommend Hannah E. Versemann, probate attorney

Attorney Versemann is a rarity. She walked me through every stage of the process, simplifying every step and alleviating every concern. I expected that guardianship of my 18-year-old Asperger's son would be a routine matter. Then I found myself in the midst of a rigorous screening process and emotion...al quandary, wondering whether the court would agree that I am the best guardian for my son. And then I realized that the first 18 years with him was a birth right; to guard and guide him into adulthood would be a legal right. Other issues came up. I doubted part of the doctor's diagnosis. Ms. Versemann assured me that the diagnosis was merely the doctor's opinion -- not mine. Then I wavered on whether to pursue a full or limited guardianship. I believed my son was capable of handling some of his own affairs. Ms. Versemann wisely advised me that we could always ask the court to restore more rights later, but we should proceed with full guardianship for now. Above and beyond her legal competency, I found Ms. Versemann to be a kind person. She imparted personal insights. Her passionate approach rejuvenated my faith in the judicial process and legal profession. In summary, Ms. Versemann and her paralegal, Carrie, handled my probate matter in an expeditious manner. Months after I petitioned the court, Commissioner Aiken ruled in my favor determining that I was, indeed, the best guardian for my son. (written in 2018 but not posted until now)
