Several years ago I found myself in need of a divorce attorney. Being a father of three children, that I cherish, and the owner of a closely held professional corporation. I had a great deal on the line. I anticipated challenges due to the children and business/accepts involved. I did my home work ...and interviewed multiple attorneys in my area. I had opportunity to talk with several people familiar with family law (other attorneys and paralegals) and all had very positive feed back about Ms Recker and her legal skills/knowledge. Ms. Recker presented her self as a straight forward, knowledgeable, tough attorney that would work toward a fair and expedient resolution. She turned out to be exactly that (and more). As I had feared we were unable to settle the issues outside of court, but Ms. Recker made ever attempt to reach a settlement and advert a trial. As I learned, we could control only one side of this equation so we moved into trial preparation. The process and procedures dictated by our legal system were completely foreign and often perplexing to me. She patiently walked me through the process. She was very good about listening to and addressing wishes and concerns. Again, being a neophyte to the legal process, Ms. Recker had to coach and challenge me with issues/situations that were outside my comfort zone. The process, in full disclosure, was often confusing and sometimes painful but she consistently lead me down the appropriate path. Eventually we did go to trial and received a equitable judgment. The opposing attorney/client did not agree and we had a appeals hearing where the initial judgment was up held. This too was unsatisfactory to opposing attorney and client so they took us to Missouri Western Appellate Court on multiple points of appeal. Ms Recker navigated and presented a strong defense to the Appellate Court. We won on ALL counts of appeal. If fact the appellate court felt strongly enough about the case that they publish their findings and opinions on this case. Meaning that her case with me is now cited as legal precedent and used as a teaching tool for other attorneys. A few years late I would again engage the services of The Law Office of Sarah Recker to manage a motion to modify the original judgment. Again trial, again appeals and again a palatable result were I main quality time with my children and continue to operate my business. The 4000 words allotted here is not nearly enough space to articulate all the good Ms Sarah Recker and her staff has done for my family and business. They have always been attentive and helpful when I call.
