My name is Jarrett Johnson, and for more than 30 years I’ve devoted my career to representing people whose lives have been turned upside down by injuries, abuse, and other tragedies. My work centers on sexual abuse at religious boarding schools, negligence in foster-care placements, catastrophic injury and wrongful death -- as well as serious automobile, trucking, premises, and product-defect cases. I have secured millions of dollars for my victimized clients over the course of my career -- while maintaining an authentic and personal connection with my clients.
I’ve tried dozens of jury trials and spent thousands of hours in the courtroom. Nothing sharpens a lawyer’s instincts like time in front of a jury.
In 2000, when I was just 30, the Missouri Bar Foundation honored me with the Lon O. Hocker Memorial Trial Lawyer Award—one of the state’s highest recognitions for courtroom excellence—awarded to fewer than 200 attorneys in Missouri’s history.
Beyond my practice, I’ve been proud to teach trial advocacy as an adjunct professor at UMKC School of Law and to mentor young attorneys through the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Trial Academy. Judges throughout Missouri have also invited me to help train new lawyers on how to prepare and present cases to a jury.

"I have spent a good amount of time watching Jarrett Johnson litigate. He is an outstanding advocate for his clients. He is aggressive when necessary and he has an excellent command of the law. It is also obvious that he is completely comfortable in the courtroom. That is just a natural talent. I would recommend Jarrett to anyone who needed a lawyer."
"I endorse this lawyer. Jarrett is a great lawyer, he is empathetic to his clients and gets excellent results. He has more trial experience than most lawyers I know."
