Awesome Immigration Attorney

Being from the UK people presume that the Immigration process is easy and straightforward but it is not. Have been working on my daughter's Green Card for almost 9 years. Tried to work with other Attorneys who advertise themselves as Immigration Attorney's but totally fell short including the last ...one who gave me totally the wrong information and told me we would still have a long wait. That was at the end of 2015. Something told me that I should get a second opinion so I contacted Sharma-Crawford. Oh what a big difference. Professional, helpful and just totally awesome is the only way I can describe them. From the moment you contact them they work with you on everything. When you go to their office the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They kept in constant contact with me and Michael was excellent. Michael filed my daughter's application and went to the interview with us. We left the Immigration Office with huge smiles on our faces and we couldn't have done it without Michael and his team. If you are looking for an Immigration Attorney, look no further as you have found the best.

Glad he was my lawyer

Michael did a really good job for me. He was so nice to me and my family. He told me that he would try and help me but that i would have to cooperate and if I did, then he thought we could fix my case. I did everything he asked me to do and he fixed my case! As Michael told me, "it will both of us ...working otherwise one of us is dragging". I got that. Thanks Michael.

Best Immigration Attorney - Highly Recommended!

I highly recommend Michael Shama-Crawford to anyone seeking an honest straightforward and affordable immigration attorney. Our story is too long to go into great detail. But I will give you the shorten version. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 years now and we applied for his green... card in 1999. After many inquiries and a lot of money spent on 4 different attorneys’ in Illinois over the years, with still no decision made, it was very frustrating. During this time, my husband had gotten DUI’s on his record, but also went into recovery, so we thought all was good. We checked with the Chicago immigration office in March to inquire the status of our application and we were told that our “application was still pending”. A little over 2 months later, our house was surrounded by ICE agents who took my husband into custody for “overstaying his visa” and held him for deportation processing without bond in a Missouri jail for 31 days! I was so stressed and didn’t know what was happening or where to turn. I contacted Michael Sharma-Crawford, who immediately responded to my cries for help. He walked me through what was happening and what was needed from me, in the form of paperwork, etc. Michael was able to get a bond hearing quickly within a month and was able to get my husband released from jail. A few months later, Michael represented my husband at his trial and was able to get him his long awaited green card! The best thing about Michael Sharma-Crawford as an attorney is that he doesn’t give you false hope or make promises that he can’t keep. He simply tries his hardest to get the best outcome of whatever situation is presented to him. That’s all anyone can ask. Can he work miracles? In my opinion… YES! All I know is that we could not have accomplished any of this without him. What had taken us over 16 years of waiting for, Michael accomplished in 6 months! He is an amazing, caring attorney. We are forever grateful for his guidance, expertise, time and effort he put into our case.

Good at First

I contacted this office because I was referred to them by a few friends who had dealt with them. The initial consultation went great, and that is why I booked an appointment for Michael to work on my case of bringing my fiance to the US. Paid $1000+ in lawyer fees and he reassured me that I will have... to do nothing once the process gets going. After we filed, I alone followed up with the case. Once it goes approved, I contacted NVC on my own. I had to contact the embassy on my own to correct an issue the lawyer made a mistake on. Once it was filed, we were literally on our own. I contacted the lawyer for advise, but he never gave me any real advise and didn't help me at all. A few months after the case was approved and AFTER my fiance received his visa, I was contacted by the law office to ask if we wanted to proceed past the approval stage. I made it very clear to them that I worked everything out ON MY OWN and if I had waited for them, the petition would have expired. Very disappointed that we spent all that money when we could have just dealt with it on our own. If this process had gone better, I probably would have gone to them for the Green Card process, but forget that. Going to save the money and do it on our own. Thank you for nothing, Michael.

I am sorry this client was disappointed in our service. However, as the posting indicates we were hired to file a fiancée visa, which we did and was granted. There are issues with this case that went beyond the normal case suffice to say the services we rendered were not "nothing" and it is unfortunate the poster is left feeling this way. It is good to hear the fiancée arrived safely.

It is true what they all say, Sharma-Crawford Attorneys are the best.

I called Michael for help with my immigration case. I had gotten into some criminal trouble and my criminal defense attorney told me to call Michael right away. Since I am not a citizen of the United States, my criminal defense attorney told me that I would need to understand how my criminal charge...s could be an issue with my ability to stay in the US. I was really scared. Michael took the time to answer my questions and then worked with my criminal defense attorney to resolve my case in a way that I would not have any trouble with my ability to stay in the US. I have learned my lesson. I won't be getting into any more criminal trouble, but I can't thank Michael enough for what he did. I was finally able to sleep at night once I spoke with him. A lot of people told me not to worry because the criminal charges I was facing was only a misdemeanor, but Michael helped me understand that it does not matter when you are not a citizen. I am glad my criminal defense attorney, Tom, told me to call him. It made all the difference.
