When you buy something you assume it is safe and has been designed and manufactured to be safe when put to use. Unfortunately, dangerous and defective products injure and kill thousands of people every year. Many dangerous products are made by large corporations who put their profits over the safety of their customers. I have spent most of my career holding these companies accountable for injuries to consumers.
Representing clients across the nation, from Florida to Minnesota, from Maryland to California, the firm’s lawyers have relentlessly pursued and held defendants accountable when their products or actions have injured or killed. Most recently the SMC attorneys obtained a $7,000,000 verdict for the family of an Arkansas man killed in a tractor-trailer accident.
Railroad crossing accidents continue to occur with alarming frequency. According to the Federal Railroad Administration, in 2008 alone there were 2,398 reported collisions between trains and motor vehicles in the United States. Tragically, the train wrecks are often fatal and preventable. My firm holds these companies accountable when drivers or pedestrians are injured or killed.
When an “18-wheeler,” semi-truck or other large truck is involved in a crash with another motor vehicle, the results are often catastrophic. According to data collected by the United States government, large semi-trucks and buses were involved in 137,181 crashes in 2008. In fact, there are more than fifteen (15) crashes every hour on our nation’s highways involving large trucks. My firm holds these companies accountable when drivers are injured or killed.
