Lauren Alyssa Dollar

Lauren Dollar is a gifted attorney who brings substantial experience prosecuting cases to our sexual abuse and child fatality practice groups.

From being an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office to clerking for a U.S. District Judge to working in the U.S. District Attorney’s Office, Lauren knows the intricacies of the justice system. She has worked vigorously to put criminals behind bars and provide justice to victims.

Lauren brings this tenacity to our firm. Her work thus far in her career inspired her to continue the fight for victim’s rights in the civil sector.

A Skilled Litigator

Lauren is a seasoned litigator thanks to her past experience in both the public and private sectors. Her past experience includes working at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, for a U.S. District Judge, at a personal injury firm, at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and for The Missouri Court of Appeals.

During her time at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, Lauren regularly came face to face with criminals who had committed unthinkable crimes. She handled two cases in particular – a domestic assault trial with an 11-year-old witness and a child molestation sentencing – that inspired her to be the voice of sexual assault and child wrongful death victims with our firm. After directing the 11-year-old witness to recount the abuse she witnessed her mother suffer in that one case, and then directing the mother of two young girls who had been molested in another, Lauren knew she had to fight to protect those who cannot always protect themselves.

Lauren has also tried a double murder trial where she gave the opening statement during the guilt phase of the trial and the opening and closing statements during the sentencing phase of the trial, cross examined defense witnesses, laid the ground work for the prosecution’s expert witnesses, and handled the explanation of evidence. The trial ended with the guilty party being sentenced to time in prison.
