Steve was born in Kansas City but raised in nearby Independence, Missouri. He currently resides with his wife, Sherry, and four children, Samantha, Shannon, Steven and Samuel, in Kansas City, Missouri. Steve takes a hands-on approach to many of the things he does and, in particular, with regard to raising his children and, accordingly, he has no true hobbies. However, he does count watching his children mature as one of his most enjoyable pastimes.
