Ronald S. Weiss

Ronald S. Weiss is a 1969 graduate of the UMKC School of Law. After graduation he joined the firm Berman, DeLeve, Kuchan & Chapman where he still practices as the last member of this distinguished firm. Mr. Weiss is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the bars of the 8th and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeal and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. He is also a member of the ABI and the Commercial Law League. He is a long time lecturer for the National Bankruptcy Institute.

Over his career Mr. Weiss has been involved in practically all of the major bankruptcy cases in this area. Significantly from 1992 to 2014 he was co-chair on the UMKC - ABI annual bankruptcy seminar, one of the significant educational events in Missouri bankruptcy practice. He continues to serve as emeritus member to the committee planning and implementing of that conference. He is also a contributing author to the Missouri Bar publication on bankruptcy practices.

He is well respected throughout the Western District and generally in Missouri as counselor and advocate for his clients and in the practice of commercial and bankruptcy law. He is often recognized as a leading member of the bankruptcy bar in this community.
