Jessica Forgione Speckman

Jessica Forgione Speckman is an attorney in the Lee’s Summit area who is knowledgeable and experienced in the area of Family Law. She is dedicated to serving her client’s needs by spending the time to get to know her clients and their concerns. As an attorney, communication and the ability to understand a client’s needs are important tools in assessing legal options and advocating for real life solutions. In addition, Jessica believes being accessible to her clients, giving them the added peace of mind they need.

Jessica is licensed in the State of Missouri and has lived in Jackson County since 2010. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in political science and a minor in criminal justice after receiving an Associate’s degree from Northwest Florida State College. She later graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2016. Her passion for justice and helping families led her to focus her studies in Family Law and allowed her to work on cases pro bono through the UMKC Family Law Clinic.

While a student, Jessica Interned for the Jackson County Support Division and worked as an intern and as a law clerk for the Jackson County Juvenile Office. She also worked on the Journal for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, which published her article: Trafficking and the Child Welfare System Link: An Analysis in the 28th volumeof the Journal in 2016.

After graduating, Jessica worked as a Research Assistant for the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County Family Court Division in Assessment and Development and as a Junior Associate at Stange Law Firm, PC before starting her own practice under the name Speckman Law, LLC.

Jessica decided to pursue Family Law because of her passion for helping people. That is why she believes in giving her clients the same attention she would expect and that they deserve.
