When you see this law firm RUN!!!!!

⭐ Extremely Disappointing Experience. Please Read Before Hiring This Attorney. I am sharing my personal experience with attorney James Pietz of Blevins & Pietz because I would not want another family to go through what I experienced. I retained Mr. Pietz for a divorce matter that ultimately en...ded in a voluntary dismissal after approximately two months and one court appearance. Despite the limited duration of the case, the overall financial burden associated with this representation and subsequent dispute was approximately $10,000. What troubled me most was not simply the cost, but how the situation unfolded afterward. Despite making substantial payments, communicating about financial hardships, and repeatedly expressing my willingness to pay the remaining balance, I received threats of collection proceedings. A lawsuit was eventually filed against me. During the collection process, a process server approached my 17-year-old son after he exited his vehicle, placed legal documents on him, and photographed him. My son found this encounter deeply distressing. I believe the manner in which my minor child was treated was unacceptable. I represented myself in the subsequent court proceedings and presented my payment history, communications, financial circumstances, and objections to the additional litigation and service fees. Although I acknowledged the remaining underlying balance, I disputed the additional charges. The court ultimately entered judgment in the attorney's favor. I respect that the court issued a decision, but I remain deeply disappointed with the outcome and feel that my concerns were not adequately addressed. My experience left me feeling financially overwhelmed, intimidated by the collection process, and disappointed in a legal system I had trusted to consider my circumstances fairly. Clients deserve transparency about legal fees, respectful communication, reasonable efforts to resolve billing disputes, and sensitivity toward families and minor children. I am sharing this review so that prospective clients can ask detailed questions about billing practices, payment arrangements, collection provisions, and potential additional legal expenses before signing an agreement. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this attorney.

Save yourself the emotional distress! Absolutely no compassion or understanding after he ruined my life!

I found this attorney through a federal employee resource website that claimed to offer discounted services for government workers. Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Pietz has been devastating. From the very beginning, he showed little effort or compassion in representing me. He refused to includ...e critical personal evidence and firsthand experiences that could have supported my case. He was aware that the government was going through reductions in force, and now immediately after court and during this shutdown, I’ve been left struggling to pay my balance. I explained clearly that without an approved budget, we lose overtime — yet instead of understanding, I was met with threats when I couldn’t pay immediately after court. I’m a single, hardworking mother with no living family, having just bought my first home nine months ago. I’m trying to refinance and take out an equity loan, so I can’t even open a credit card right now. I recently went through an incredibly traumatic and unjust custody case, filled with false accusations and parental alienation. Despite being the stable parent, the court ruled against me, and I’m now ordered to pay child support for the child my ex kept from me — something I simply cannot afford right now and was completely unexpected. On top of that, I’ve faced major unexpected expenses: an emergency root canal and crown, a broken window repair, and now car repairs — all of which I’ve provided proof for. I even communicated my hardship to his assistant, who assured me that they understood. Yet when I reminded Mr. Pietz of that conversation, he denied it entirely. And now, despite everything, he’s suing me — during a government shutdown, when federal workers are struggling just to get by. So much for supporting the very people this firm claims to stand behind. I’ve never felt so dismissed or unsupported in my life. I cannot in good conscience recommend this law firm to anyone, especially to other federal employees who deserve real advocacy, not added hardship. I have no problem keeping my promise to pay my remaining balance, but to have no grace, compassion, or understanding, and to threaten and sue me during this time is unbelievable.

Best Lawyer EVER!

Mr. Pietz is a wonderful, patient, caring, and a thorough lawyer. He has a very calm demeanor which made me calm. Talks in a manor that is comfortable (not a fast talker), and does not cut you off when you are talking. Very tentative to your needs and concerns. He will confirm with you if you un...derstand and if you have any questions. Very detailed in explaining the process in a way that you will understand. Mr. Pietz will call you and give you updates I never had to call him. My family and I really appreciate all the hard work he has done. We will refer him to family, friends and even strangers. My case, WOW!!! It was more than I would ever expect! Again my family and especially me will be FOREVER GRATEFUL and will never forget Mr. James T. Pietz's! I surely will keep in contact with him. Mr, Pietz is the Best Lawyer EVER!
