Lindsey VanFleet has devoted the vast majority of her practice to helping families, whether through a divorce, modification, child support, paternity, end-of-life preparations, or other legal matters. Her practice is focused in family law, traffic law, criminal law, and estates. Being licensed in both Missouri and Kansas, she handles cases in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Clients either never have to return to the court or, if the circumstances necessitate, return to Lindsey.
Lindsey was raised in Oak Grove, Missouri. Upon graduation, she began attending the University of Missouri Kansas City and soon began an internship for Cochran, Oswald, and Roam, LLC in Blue Springs, Missouri. In her fourth year of undergraduate studies, she was admitted and began her Law School Career at the UMKC School of Law. At the end of her first year of Law School in May 2009, she graduated summa cum laude from UMKC with her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, with a focus on Family Studies. During her following two-year tenure at the Law School she interned for Commissioner Sherrill Rosen of the Jackson County Circuit Court, clerked for Heartland Law and the Hollis Law Firm, and practiced law through the Child and Family Services Clinic. Through this extensive practical experience, Lindsey graduated from Law School in May of 2011 prepared to jump into helping clients.
Lindsey now appears in court almost daily, whether in hearings, trials or entering pleas. She has a depth of experience and an ease of presentation in the courtroom. She is artful in negotiating settlements to best fulfill her client's wishes while providing honest, to-the-point advice to them. She is well-known and respected in the community.
She now resides in Missouri with her Husband, daughter, son and stepdaughter. Being a divorced parent and a stepparent as well as having a blended family, Lindsey can understand her client's circumstances at great depths.

Lindsey is incredibly on top of thingsand quick to answer questions. She lets you know what is realistic but definitely does not bend to the opposing side. I will only be using her for any future custody needs and would HIGHLY recommend her for any family court matters.
