Fraud, Lies and Forgery

Roby was referred to me by Richard P Scaletty. Roby was his Prodege. Roby lied to me repeatedly about my WC case and the Civil case he was handling. The WC case for over a million dollars was dropped bc Roby didn't file any paperwork. His boss, William Hall, did not follow normal procedure, and allow...ed Roby to lie and hurt as many unaware clients as possible. William Hall allowed Roby to continue his forgerys and contempt for the law to continue for over 5 years. Rick Scaletty was informed about Roby's illegal actions on many occasions, but sided with his buddy, Roby, and his the truth. Roby was finally disbarred after I contacted the MO Attorney Generals Office. I lost my career, my house, my savings and my wife. All due to these 3 lawyers greed and contemt for justice. They manipulated the court against me, lost my case. Then after I sued them, and after 3 more years of dragging their feet, finally settled. I didn't even get what I would have made in wages for 6 months in my trade. My story of this law firm and the shady practices will be revealed.

I'd give no stars if I could

Eric Roby drug out my worker's comp case and when I got a final judgment he told me I would receive partial settlement and the remaining 3500 in 3 weeks, never saw that remaining money and the law office he worked for just said he was fired and would not assist me.

Worst Attorney

I hired Eric Roby to handle a civil case in early 2018. He failed to return many calls, cancelled many meetings, and made so many mistakes on my case. After 2 years, I found out that he had lied to me the entire time and he never filed the paperwork, actually talked to the opposing side on my behalf,... he did not actually deal with the clerk of the court or judge, etc. He sent me to court house 3 times and then did not show up. I found out later that he had lied on everything. He has been fired from the law firm of Ewan & Hall and the Missouri Bar suspended his Kansas License on February 3, 2020. He is no longer a practicing attorney. His malpractice has forever damaged my case, my business, and my family and me. I hope this never happens to anyone else, because it is a very painful experience.

Work comp

Eric Roby dragged out a work comp case from August 2013 to January 2019. This entire time has been a difficult road to say the least. He has made it very difficult to get any information from. Never returning phone calls, canceling meetings, etc. When we did recieve any kind of information he played ...it up like some kind of progress was being made, promise a phone call in a few weeks, and then the communication would stop for months. Today January 14th, 2020 we were informed from the law office he was working through that he was no longer employed and our case has been dropped. This is a joke of a lawyer and as far as I am concerned so is Mr. Halls law firm.

Save your money

We had an uncontested probate case for father's house after his death. Attorney continued case for 6 years with no reason. Never provided a single itemization of how our money was spent, or accounting of what time was put into our case. When we made an appointment with him, several times he cancelled... 3 minutes before the appointment, knowing it took us 30 minutes to drive to the office and were already there. We thought our case was completed, and would suddenly get notice from the court that we had to file something. This happened 5 times in the last two years. Then instead of closing the case, he tried to withdraw with the court, without telling us! We still have an open case we're trying to close, an attorney we can't find or count on, years of frustration, and are filing a complaint with the bar.
